Charleston, W.Va. – Secretary of State Natalie E. Tennant’s Office has launched a new and improved website, making it quicker and easier for voters, candidates, business owners, and state agencies to find vital information.
The website address is still www.wvsos.com
On the front page of the website there are links to every section of the Secretary of State’s Office. Voters and candidates can quickly access the Elections Division, business owners can jump to the Business and Licensing Division, and state agencies can jump to the Administrative Law Division.
There is also a section detailing the history of the Secretary of State’s Office, with biographies of the men and women who have served in the office.
The new website features technology that Secretary Tennant has promised to incorporate into state government. There are video features showing how the office is helping citizens, links that help business owners file paperwork quickly and easily online, and even links to the social networking sites Twitter and Facebook where people can more closely follow how Secretary Tennant is promoting West Virginia.
“Our website gets thousands of hits per day,” Tennant said. “It’s used by voters, candidates, business owners, and people who are just curious about the office. This website features a cleaner layout and applications that run more smoothly. We owe it to the people of West Virginia to provide them an easy to use website where they can find the information they need when they need it.”
The website was designed through a partnership with West Virginia Interactive and is the result of an innovative public-private partnership between the state and West Virginia Interactive. West Virginia Interactive works with government agencies to build and manage interactive online services and is a subsidiary of eGovernment firm NIC (NASDAQ: EGOV).
