What a Difference HAVA Makes! (Photos)

Charleston, W.Va. - Below are pictures of polling places in West Virginia that have been made more accessible to disabled voters, thanks to federal funding administered by the Secretary of State's Office.

These funds are called the HAVA VOTE funds and are available as part of the Help America Vote Act of 2002.

Since 2004 nearly $550,000 in grant funding has been awarded to counties across West Virginia to make voting more accessible. More than $170,000 in grant funding has been awarded since 2009.

These pictures are before and after pictures of precincts in Clay, Roane, and Summers Counties.

For more information on the Help America Vote Act, contact Layna Brown in the HAVA Division of the Secretary of State's Office at (304) 558-6000.
