 Daily Updated Early Voting and Absentee Ballot Numbers

    Charleston, W.Va. - These are the latest figures from the West Virginia Secretary of State's Office Statewide Voter Registration System (SVRS).
    These figures represent the total number of ballots cast during the early voting period and absentee ballots returned to county clerks.
    These figures ARE NOT election results.

    A total of 108,212 ballots have been cast during the early voting period, which began on October 13.
    By comparison, at the close of the early voting period for the 2010 Primary Election 40,557 ballots had been cast. At the close of the early voting period for the 2008 General Election, 153,096 ballots had been cast.
    According to the SVRS there have been 5,504 absentee ballots returned to county clerks across the state. At this point in the early voting period for the 2010 Primary Election, 2,573 absentee ballots had been returned. At this point in the early voting period for the 2008 General Election, 12,071 absentee ballots had been returned.
