 Permanent Absentee Voting

Permanent Absentee by Mail

If you cannot vote at the polling place due to one of the reasons below, you may apply to your County Clerk to be placed on the permanent absentee voting list. Once your application is accepted, you will receive a ballot in every election until you request to be removed from the list or otherwise become ineligible. Your County Clerk will begin mailing ballots the 46th day before the election.
  • I am a participant in the West Virginia Secretary of State's Address Confidentiality Program.
  • I have a permanent, physical disability that prevents me from going to the polling place.
