| Reasons For Voting Using a Provisional Ballot |

A provisional Ballot is a used when a voter's right to request a ballot has been challenged by the poll clerk, reasons for this may include:
- If the voter's registration record is not available at the time of the election.
- If the signature written by the person in the poll book does not correspond with the signature on the registration record.
- If the registration record indicates any other legal disqualifications

- Any person challenged shall, nevertheless, be permitted to vote using a Provisional Ballot.
- If during canvass the county commission finds that the challenge is unfounded, if otherwise valid, the vote shall be counted and tallied together with the regular ballots cast in the election.
- Under the free access system, you will be able to check the status of your provisional ballot.

To track your provisional ballot you will need to supply the following information:
- Legal First Name
- Legal Last Name
- Full Birth Date in the format of MM/DD/YYYY
- One of the following
- Last 4 digits of your social security number
- Your full driver's license number
