This is a list of historical voter turnout rates by party affiliation for each election cycle, including data for each of the major political parties in West Virginia (Democrat, Republican, Mountain), no party affiliated voters, and voters that are member of minor political parties. Use the following definitions to better understand what each category represents:
- Date - The exact date of the election
- Election - The year and the type of election (Primary, General, Special)
- Dem (Democrat) - The total number of registered democrats that voted in the specified election
- Rep (Republican) - The total number of registered republicans that voted in the specified election
- Mtn (Mountain) - The total number of registered mountain party member that voted in the specified election
- NoP (No Party) - The total number of people that voted in the specified election that had no official party affiliation
- Oth (Other) - The total number of people that voted in the specified election that were affiliated with a minor political party
- Total - The total number of registered voters that voted in the specified election
