Applications for absentee ballots begin to be accepted from uniformed and overseas voters.

August 14

General applications for absentee ballot are acccepted.     

September 11

The county commissions are notified by the county clerks of the number of sets of emergency absentee voting commissioners that are needed for the upcoming election.


September 21
Printed absentee ballots are delivered the the county clerks.

September 21
to
October 31
Absentee ballots are mailed by the county clerks within 24 hours of receiving both an absentee ballot request and the printed absentee ballot.

October 30
to
November 6

County clerks take requests for emergency medical absentee ballots.


October 31
Deadline for county clerks to accept absentee application requests by mail.

November 5
Deadline for county clerks to accept absentee ballots by hand-delivery.

November 7
Deadline for county clerks to accept absentee ballots by mail without postmark.            

November 13
Deadline for county clerks to accept absentee ballots postmarked by election day.
