As Chief Election Officer of West Virginia, the Secretary of State
works to involve all West Virginians in the process of democracy.

Some of the services we provide include working with:
 
  • Students, teachers and community leaders through the Secretary of State's office to strengthen voter turnout. 
  • Voters to help identify how voting procedures can be improved.
  • Legislature to improve election laws to continue to make the election process more open and fair.
  • State Election Commission to continue election policy and public information.
  • County and municipal officials in planning, training and practice to improve voter registration procedures, absentee voting and Election Day practices.
