 2017 Special Election Dates and Deadlines


July 15 - October 2, 2017 - Absentee Voting

All other eligible voters may apply to receive an absentee ballot. Learn more about absentee voting.

September 18, 2017 - Voter Registration Deadline

Deadline to register to vote or update your information for the Special Election. Register to vote/Update Information.

September 22 - October 4, 2017 - Early Voting

Early Voting is open during regular business hours at each county courthouse or courthouse annex. Early Voting is also available each Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Contact your County Clerk to confirm Early Voting hours and locations.

October 2, 2017 - Absentee Application Deadline

Absentee applications must be received by your County Clerk by the sixth day before Election Day.

October 6, 2017 - Absentee, In-Person Delivery Deadline

All hand-delivered absentee ballots must be received by your County Clerk by the close of business the day before the election. No person may deliver more than two absentee ballots.

September 30 - Noon, October 7, 2017 - Emergency Absentee Voting

Eligible citizens may request an emergency absentee ballot until noon Election Day. Learn more about emergency absentee voting.

Saturday, October 7, 2017 - Election Day

Polls open 6:30am through 7:30pm. Find your polling place.

October 7, 2017 - Military and Overseas Voting - Electronic Ballot Submission Deadline

Military and overseas absentee voters may submit their ballots by fax or email by the close of polls Election Day.

October 13, 2017 - Military and Overseas Voting - Postal Mail Ballot Submission Deadline

Military and overseas absentee voters' absentee ballots postmarked on or before October 7 are accepted until the start of canvass.

October 13, 2017 - Canvass

Canvass begins - results declared at end of canvass
