Questions About Your Pending Commission?
Remember, it takes about three weeks for a commission to be issued after the completed application and payment are received. If you have not received your commission letter within two weeks after mailing your application, please contact the Notary section at notary@wvsos.com or call (304) 558-8000. Unfortunately, some letters are lost in the mail, so let us know if you are concerned that we have not received your application.
Lists of Notaries
Only the names and addresses of notaries are public information. Other information in the application or the notary's record is not subject to release.
The online notary database will allow you to search:
- All notaries whose commissions are currently active.
- All active notaries in a specific county.
