Secretary of State's Office Will Remain Open on December 31

Charleston, W.Va. – Secretary of State Natalie E. Tennant has announced her office will remain open all day on New Year’s Eve. This is to accommodate anyone who needs to conduct end of year business before the December 31st deadline.

Anyone who calls the office can expect the same service as any other day, Tennant said.

“December 31st is an important deadline for many businesses, law firms or bankers who have to make last minute proceedings," she added. "We want to be open to help them do the work they need to complete.”

This is not the first time Tennant has kept the office open on a holiday to assist business owners or anyone else who may need assistance. The Secretary of State’s Office also remained open on West Virginia Day.

The Secretary of State’s Office will be closed on Friday, January 1, 2010.
